Losing a tooth can be an emotional experience as it can greatly affect a person’s mental and physical health wellbeing.
We only get one set of adult teeth in our lifetime, and for centuries we have been looking for tooth replacement options to eliminate the worry of the dreaded gap.

There are several tooth replacement options available, they include:
Implants
Implants are a titanium screw that is placed into the bone, then a crown is placed over the top appearing as a natural tooth. This is a great replacement option as it is most like the original tooth structure and has functions in a similar fashion. This is however a costly procedure and has limitations that need to be considered before choosing this treatment.
Dentures
Dentures are considered a non invasive tooth replacement. Dentures are either an acrylic or metal device that replaces the missing tooth spaces.
Dentures can have anywhere between 1- 16 teeth and are a good option for most patients but have they also have their limitations and can make keeping the mouth clean more difficult.
Dentures are unideal compared to implants and ones original tooth structure and therefore should be discussed with a dentist or dental prosthetist before choosing treatment.
Bridges
Bridges are a structure that fills the gap between two teeth whilst using the remaining teeth for support. Bridges often have crowns on two teeth and a tooth replacement in the middle and are often more invasive as two other teeth are used to support a single structure.
